I have to say that it is really sad to live in a society that finds it odd if you don't drink when you go out. Being pregnant is one of the only times when you dont have to give an excuse not to drink. However in the beginning when you are trying to keep your news quiet it can be really difficult when folk ask why your not drinking. People are not happy to accept that you just don't feel like it. Morning sickness does have its advantages in this case - one lunch out I pretended that I was really hungover when infact I was really sick that day from all those pesky pregnancy hormones! Worked really well and no one questioned me!
However I find it really sad that you can't go out and not drink without everyone asking why not.
