Yes, it had to happen 
I got a ticket from the Bromley Council for …. driving in a bus lane.
Ok, after 8 years in the UK and no ticket, it is about time. However, I remember driving down the hill towards Bromley and said to myself: “little traffic, everyone in one lane but the bus lane is free, so who really cares”. And, I said to my wife later that day, it is silly to keep those lanes free if there are no buses or anything. I didn’t even overtake anyone.
Now, £60 if I pay within 14 days, £120 within 28 days – that is silly too. It is either a fee for £60 or £120 – why should it be less by paying earlier?
Ach well, life I guess.
